Compositora, cantante y música nacida en Montevideo, Uruguay, donde obtiene su Licenciatura en Composición musical y Diseño de Sonido, en la Escuela Universitaria de Música.
Al mismo tiempo se forma como cantante lírica con Lucía Leite, Amelia Veiga y Eiko Senda en Montevideo, participando en numerosos conciertos con destacados músicos del medio. Sus estudios continúan en la ciudad de Lyon, donde realiza la maestría MAAAV (Música aplicada a las artes visuales) en la Universidad de Lyon 2 y estudios de canto en el Conservatorio de Lyon con Denis Manfroy, Pierre Ribemont, Marcin Habela e Isabelle Eschenbrenner.
posteriormente realiza estudios superiores de canto de ópera en el conservatorium de maastricht, en holanda, con la profesora susanne schimmack.

En su labor como compositora, Maia compone la música para varias obras de teatro, videojuegos, intervenciones sonoras y cortometrajes en Uruguay como en Francia, varias de ellas galardonadas (Premio Florencio infantil, mejor ambientación sonora para la obra "Guau! Un musical de pelos" - Movida Joven, mejor música para el cortometraje "Examen").
Junto a Alicia Dogliotti, Maia compone la ópera "EJE", que ha sido premiada con un tercer premio nacional de música en el año 2016 y el proyecto de realizar esta ópera entre la ciudad de lyon y montevideo gana el premio de "trophés des jeunes ambassadeurs" en el año 2018.

Como cantante, Maia se participa en diferentes conciertos, proyectos interdisciplinarios y producciones de ópera en Uruguay, España, Francia, Suiza y holanda, cantando en escenarios de gran envergadura como el teatro solís (montevideo), la filarmónica de parís y el auditorium de lyon (francia), el grand theatre de geneve (suiza).
Además del canto lírico y fiel a sus raíces, Maia participa como cantante en el grupo de folklore argentino "Los Franchaleros" y como interpréte de tango, acompañada por diversos músicos.
​
Comprometida con las causas humanitarias, Maia colabora con la asociación "Música para el alma", dando conciertos en hospitales, casas de salud y escuelas. Fundadora del proyecto "ProjectA", Maia pretende unir la composición, el canto y la defensa de los valores humanos.
​
Además de música, Maia TIENE UNA GRAN COLLECCIÓN DE ILUSTRACIONES Y TAMBIÉN escribe poesías, varias de las cuales también han sido galardonadas en diferentes concursos regionales.

Composer and singer born in montevideo, uruguay, where she obtains her bachelor in composition and sound design, in the escuela Universitaria de Música.
at the same time, she studies singing with Lucía Leite, Amelia Veiga and Eiko Senda in Montevideo, taking part in many concerts with distinguished musicians and operA PRODUCTIONS.
her studies continue in lyon, france, where she obtains her master degree in composing for audiovisual media (master maaav) in the université lyon 2 and singing studies in the Conservatory of lyon WITH Denis Manfroy, Pierre Ribemont, Marcin Habela e Isabelle Eschenbrenner.
She continues her opera studies at the maastricht conservatorium, holland, in the class of susanne schimmack.

AS A COMPOSER, MAIA CREATES MUSIC FOR SHORT MOVIES, VIDEO GAMES, THEATRE PLAYS AND OTHER TYPE OF PERFORMANCES. MANY OF HER COMPOSITIONS HAVE BEEN AWARDED PRIZES IN URUGUAY AND IN FRANCE, FOR INSTANCE, THE MUSICAL THEATRE PLAY "GUAU! UN MUSICAL DE PELOS", THE MUSIC FOR THE SHORT MOVIE "EXAMEN" (Movida Joven, ) and the opera that she has created with Alicia Dogliotti, who has won a national prize of music in 2016 and her project of doing this opera in a coproduction with lyon and montevideo has won the prize "throphés des Jeunes ambassadeurs" in 2018.

as a singer, maia has participated in many concerts, interdisciplinary projects and opera productions in Uruguay, spain, france, switzerland and holland, where singing took her to some of the most important venues of the world such as philarmonique de paris, auditorium de lyon (france), teatro solis (uruguay) or the grand theatre de geneve (switzerland).
without forgetting her roots, maia has been the main vocalist of the argentinians folklore's group "Los Franchaleros", and she is also an avid tango performer.
ENGAGED WITH HUMANITARIAN CAUSES, MAIA has collaborated WITH THE ASSOCIATION "Música para el alma", GIVING CONCERTS IN HOSPITALS, EVENTIDE HOMES AND SCHOOLS. SHE HAS CREATED THE PROYECT "PROJECTA", WHO JOINS COMPOSITION, SINGING AND THE PROMOTION OF HUMAN VALUES.

BEYOND HER MUSICIANSHIP, MAIA HAS A COLLECTION OF ILLUSTRATIONS AND POETRY. some of them have received prizes in uruguay.
